Abstract

Microplastics (MPs), defined as plastic particles smaller than 5 mm, are emerging contaminants in terrestrial ecosystems. Increasing evidence indicates that microplastics accumulate in agricultural soils through plastic mulching, wastewater sludge, and atmospheric deposition.
